Help BICAS Find a 2021 Art Auction Venue!

Pending CDC regulations, we plan to hold our 25th annual BICAS Art Auction this December and are looking for a venue! Can you help?

  • Looking for 3,000-5,000 sq ft Art Gallery or Warehouse
  • Venue is ideally located close to downtown Tucson for ease of bicycle commuting
  • Must be able to hang art on walls and have room to walk around sculptures/stands
  • Ability for BICAS to get a special event/liquor license to serve drinks
  • Max capacity should be at least 100-300 people.

Thanks for helping us look for a location for this family friendly, Tucson arts & culture tradition that hosts 1,000-2,000 lovers of art and bicycles each year! Message us here or email art@bicas.org with any leads.

Donate for AZ Gives April 6!

BICAS remains committed to mobility justice at a time when reliable transportation makes all the difference in accessing basic needs and getting to “essential jobs” for many who no longer feel safe riding the bus. Despite facing tremendous losses from cancellation of programs, BICAS has been service the Tucson community an essential services provider for a year now, offering basic bicycle repair and sales at a sliding scale. Your support ensures that those with little or no income can access safe transportation and free helmets, while also keeping our staff employed and our 32 year old organization afloat and thriving.

BICAS Salvage Mask by Tucson Artist Racheal Rios

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic this May 2020, our allstar friend and colleague Racheal Rios created and shared a playful, unique mask on her Instagram each day. Some were made of all-natural materials, some edible, and some made of salvaged items, all on her page at @rachealrios. Check out this mask made of all BICAS art parts that she created this past week! We love Racheal’s work and how it supports our mission of creative upcycling. Make your own BICAS salvage crafts by visiting the ‘SALVAGE’ section of our online shop at etsy.com/shop/bicasart, going live June 1, for usable bike craft parts, craft kits and more. Stay safe, everybody.
