Thank you so much Tucson! We appreciate your support of the 25th BICAS Art auction! BICAS hasn’t had one of these events in 2 years due to the pandemic. While most of the staff was new, we managed to pull it off with 500 people coming to the 2 night event and over 100 unique pieces for auction sold in a single night!
Our art auction featured a huge variety of practical and fanciful handmade bicycle-themed art, most of which was created using upcycled bicycle parts. All the art was donated by some of Tucson’s best artists who support the mission of promoting education, art, a healthy environment & making transportation more accessible to our community. We also had live music by Son Jarocho Collective in Arizona and the Hatpin Duo.
This was our biggest fundraising event of the year with all proceeds going toward our various community programs that help people learn how to fix a bicycle, earn a bicycle, create unique art from recycled materials, and provide programs for youth.

In 2022, BICAS brought back the BICAS Art Auction! The annual art auction is loved by the community and the staff. In 2020 and 2021, we, unfortunately, had to cancel and pivot due to the pandemic, but as we moved past that moment in history, we found a new venue. We had an amazing auction! The CATALYST Arts and Maker Space by SAACA was an innovative creative, cultural, and collaborative space for the BICAS community, with over 14,000 square feet of space. We were super excited to be hosted by them. Want to be involved in the December 2023 Art Auction? Fill out the community art form.
⚠️Call to Artists!⚠️
Be part of the hArt of the BICAS Art Auction by donating your ready-to-display bicycle-themed art for 2023. BICAS has evolved over the decades to become a Tucson non-profit mainstay where we promote education, art, & a healthy environment through advocacy & recycling of bicycles. Proceeds from the event help fund our numerous community programs.
Art submission details: Any art medium is accepted. As long as it’s bike-themed! Art must be complete & ready to display. Please include wall hangers, frames, and display stands. Also, please include your name and contact info. Art donations are accepted in our shop one week prior to the 2023 art auction. *more details to come.
Looking for salvage parts to create personal art pieces? Stop by the shop 11-6 pm Tue-Sat and check out our art parts area after asking the staff. In the Art Area, you can get parts no longer suited for bike riding use. Art parts are sold on a sliding scale. Thank you for your continued generosity to support of BICAS.
