BICAS now offers youth-only drop in hours every Saturday from 11am-2pm. During this time youth ages 8-18 may work on their own bikes at no cost, earn worktrade credit, or fulfill community service hours working on special projects. No appointment is necessary, however, space is limited. Those working on their own bikes are advised to arrive early. We will not sign in any youth who hope to work on their own bike after 1pm, however, youth arriving after this time would be very welcome to sign into our general Community Tools area to get assistance with their repairs.
Phased Reopening Announcement
As of June 1st, 2021, we will be phasing our regular programming back in, including public shop entry/shopping, community tools, work trade, classes, etc., while still overlapping with our “essential services,” such as sliding scale repairs and gate service until June 27th.
From June 27th-July 12th BICAS will be closed.
Upon returning from our summer break on July 13th, BICAS will fully transfer back to our DIY Community Tools repairs services and will be discontinuing our “essential services” repairs.
Thank you all for your patience and support this past pandemic year. We are proud to have been able to continue to serve the Tucson community throughout the crisis and we are committed, as ever, to mobility justice, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment. We hope to see you soon!
