*Please note that all our in-person youth programs are currently on hold due to the COVID19 pandemic, including Youth Drop In, Youth Earn-a-Bike, and youth community service.
We are currently working on virtual earn-a-bike classes for youth, so please do check back soon! Also, if you are or know a young person (ages 2-18) in urgent need of a bicycle for transportation, exercise, mental health reasons, or other “essential needs,” please email us at email@example.com *
Kids Fix It Classes (ages 5-8):
BICAS is excited to offer a 2 hour class geared toward teaching some basic tune-up skills on a standard kid’s bicycle. Each registration includes one child (5-8 yrs) and one accompanying adult (children must attend with an adult). Click here for more information
Youth Earn-a-Bike Classes (ages 8-12 & 13-18):
Youth Earn-A-Bike is a multi-session bicycle repair course in which youth ages 8 to 18 learn bicycle mechanics, practice tangible skills, build self confidence, and earn a bike! Click here for more information.
Weekly Youth Drop-in Hours (ages 8-18):
BICAS now offers youth-only drop in hours every Saturday from 11am-2pm. During this time youth ages 8-18 may work on their own bikes at no cost, earn worktrade credit, or fulfill community service hours working on special projects. No appointment is necessary, however, space is limited. Those working on their own bikes are advised to arrive early. We will not sign in any youth who hope to work on their own bike after 1pm, however, youth arriving after this time would be very welcome to sign into our general Community Tools area to get assistance with their repairs.
Classes for groups:
Do you have a group of kids who want to take a class together? Classes may be scheduled to accommodate specific groups of students, depending on instructor and classroom availability. Please email our Education Coordinator for options and rates: firstname.lastname@example.org
