Mondays at Bicas are now exclusively for Women and Trans People!
No general public hours.
For more info on Women and Trans day scroll down.
Every Monday 4–8 PM (women and trans only)
Be sure to check the BICAS events calendar for scheduling updates on this program.

On Monday from 4-8 Bicas provides shop hours exclusively for and staffed exclusively by female, trans, and gender queer identified people to co-create a safe, supportive, and non-patriarchal environment to work on bicycles and build a mechanical skill set.
In response to an expressed community need, Women and Trans Day was developed to nurture empowerment and confidence for a community traditionally dissuaded or completely excluded from cycling and bicycle mechanics.
As long as harassment and discrimination are an active factor in intimidating women and trans people from participating fully and comfortably in the cycle and bike mechanics realm, exclusive hours for this community are a necessity. Thus, these hours are open to anyone who identifies as a female or has at anytime in their life been conditioned as such.

If you are not trans or female identified, become an ally!
- Respect the space: come during our regular hours, don’t ask for an exception, and don’t hang around the entrance and harass the mechanics.
- Respect People: During Bicas's regular hours, treat female mechanics as you would any other person (do not assume she is less knowledgeable, do not call her baby, and dear lord NEVER take a wrench out of her hand!)
- Get Educated: learn about the issues facing women and trans communities, (no, suffrage did not completely eradicate gendered oppression)
- Educate others: about why and how to be an ally
