All people in the United States, regardless of immigration status, have rights under the U.S. Constitution. ICE cannot legally enter private homes or organizations like BICAS without a signed judicial warrant.
At the BICAS counter, we have printed and laminated red cards from the ILRC to assert these rights as an individual in the United States — on one side to show to an ICE agent, and the other for yourself. Need to print your own? Visit our Linktree for this and other community resources.
BICAS will continue our programming to empower women and transgender people of all genders in the bicycle industry. We will continue to serve immigrants, people of underrepresented religions, transgender, queer, BIPOC, unhoused, and disabled communities, in our mission of accessible bicycle transportation.
Staff have and continue to develop plans to keep BICAS safe and inclusive amidst the state violence and intimidation of recent months.
