2024 Annual Art Auction
27th Annual Art Auction Poster

We’d like to thank the winner of our 2024 Annual Art Auction T-Shirt and Poster Contest, Lee Ferris! This shirt and poster will be locally printed in Tucson, AZ. We were absolutely blown away by the design!
Explore Lee’s incredible portfolio website and instagram.
Past years have took the design used in the Art Auction commemorative shirt and poster on a winding road. Different designs or one and the same, staff created or externally commissioned, the nonprofit has experimented with an approach to this special piece. This made it especially exciting that in 2024, BICAS returned to our roots by holding a contest for a design that will be both on the commemorative t-shirt and the poster! All proceeds go towards our decades-long mission is to promote accessibility to bicycle transportation and the arts.
Thank you Lee Ferris!

2023 Art Auction
In 2023, we were excited to hold this two-evening fundraiser in the lovely courtyard at the Splinter Collective Warehouse December 8th and 9th, from 5 PM to 9 PM, a community space for safe, accessible, and equitable liberatory art practices and social justice organizing. With fresh ventilation and a spacious walkspace, we’re happy to be holding the event at this venue!

The Return of the 2022 Art Auction

In 2022, BICAS brought back the BICAS Art Auction! The annual art auction is loved by the community and the staff. In 2020 and 2021, we, unfortunately, had to cancel and pivot due to the pandemic, but as we moved past that moment in history, we found a new venue. We had an amazing auction! The CATALYST Arts and Maker Space by SAACA was an innovative creative, cultural, and collaborative space for the BICAS community, with over 14,000 square feet of space. We were super excited to be hosted by them.

Thank you so much Tucson! We appreciate your support of the 25th BICAS Art auction! BICAS hasn’t had one of these events in 2 years due to the pandemic. While most of the staff was new, we managed to pull it off with 500 people coming to the 2 night event and over 100 unique pieces for auction sold in a single night!
Our art auction featured a huge variety of practical and fanciful handmade bicycle-themed art, most of which was created using upcycled bicycle parts. All the art was donated by some of Tucson’s best artists who support the mission of promoting education, art, a healthy environment & making transportation more accessible to our community. We also had live music by Son Jarocho Collective in Arizona and the Hatpin Duo.
This was our biggest fundraising event of the year with all proceeds going toward our various community programs that help people learn how to fix a bicycle, earn a bicycle, create unique art from recycled materials, and provide programs for youth.

Limited Run 2020 Mini-Auction Shirts

Our BICAS and 2020 mini-auction t-shirts were designed by former staff member Jreems Kmchroo and Tucson artist Racheal Rios. They were being produced by the local print shop CREAM Forever.
