Art Summer Camp - ages 8 to 13

With the theme ‘Imagine your Dream Bicycle,’ participants will create expressions of their dream bicycle using paint, flipbook making, and recycled bike parts. As a team they will imagine a just and sustainable world together, designing and decorating a Little Free Library to be installed outside BICAS.

BICAS Art Summer Camp

Experience level:  Beginner
Age Range: 8 to 13 years old

 

Course description:

Youth ages 8-13 are encouraged to register and payment is offered on a sliding scale. With the theme ‘Imagine your Dream Bicycle,’ participants will envision together a sustainable and just world. Each participant will create expressions of their dream bicycle using paint, flipbook making, and recycled bike parts. As a team they will imagine their dream world, designing and leaving their legacy on a Little Free Library to be installed outside BICAS. There will be a showcase of participant work on the last day of camp, with a one-month display of two creations per participant in the Joel D. Valdez Main Library to follow.
