Community Service

You can do your court ordered or school required community service with us. Community Service opportunities are available Tuesday through Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM, as well as during our WTF (Women, Trans, Femme) workshop for our WTF community. Come into the shop when you’re ready to work. Community service is offered on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend that you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. BICAS is one of the few places in Tucson that youth can complete community service hours!

Community service tasks may include: sweeping, mopping, cleaning, sorting parts, organizing the shop, dismantling bicycles, and helping staff with shop projects. No bicycle mechanics knowledge is necessary. Come sign in at the desk. We will sign off on any paperwork you need, and your hours will be stored in our computer. No experience is necessary; we will find you tasks that accommodate your abilities!
